This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The goal for this project is to make our campus more inviting to school wide activities and be impactful as the Eras Tour touched worldwide ;). With state funding and resources being limited to our school it is difficult to purchase much needed equipment. We are not being allowed to purchase technology. The items I am needing will improve schoolwide activities such as Career Day, Youth Conferences, Awards Assemblies/recognitions, and other district wide events.

As a counselor, we use iPad for programs, classroom presentations, create and design school notices/information, pictures, and must I highlight technology has become a powerful tool to teach.

The Gemini speaker will greatly come in hand to make these school wide events come to live. As a counselor, listening skills is the primary skill to build a trustworthy relationship. This speaker will help us with students to listen better when sharing important information or provide recognitions for them.

Lastly, I had a shredder for the past 10 years and unfortunately it has retired on me. This piece of equipment is important to secure confidential information is disregarded properly. All of these items enhance the ability to to improve our counseling department.

I am hopeful my project will be funded because our students need to be up to par with other districts who have better resources than ours.
