My Project
These books will continue to enhance the collection in my classroom library. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind, both in interest and in reading level. The graphic novels have been highly requested by many of my students! With these new additions, students will have greater agency in choosing the books they would like, which further enables them to maximize their daily independent reading time.
With these new books, my students will have greater access to the latest and newest popular series, and I know they will greater enjoy their independent reading time.
In addition, I selected a series that aims to increase students' interest and understanding of our history learning. The current curriculum for our history unit lacks intriguing and relevant knowledge building texts to deepen students' learning and comprehension. My students already have a high interest in reading, with these additional texts, they will be more motivated in understanding and participating in class discussions.
