This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
For the past four years, I've been the General Education teacher in an ASD NEST classroom. Teaching in this environment has truly opened my eyes as to what great education can be. I've learned how to appeal to a variety of learners with diverse needs, and always aim to make learning fun and enjoyable!
“Teacher I can’t wait to read!,” was something one of my students told me on the first day of school.
This child’s attitude among the other positive attitude from the rest of my class motivates me to be help them become successful in their goal-that they are already thinking about at such a young age.
Everyday my students come into school with a smile, ready to learn and excited to find out what we are going to do that day. I would like for them to continue to be proactive in their learning by providing them with tools and skills to feel successful.

My Project
I will appreciate you supporting this project for a brand new easel for such an amazing group of kindergarten students. The contribution made towards a big and roomy easel will be helpful to teach whole group and small group lessons in the subject areas of writing, reading and among others. This year students will become good readers and writers and so this easel will not only hold anchor charts teacher made and student made that they can refer to but also big books and store small books and other materials to guide students in their learning progress.
Students have expressed how much they love coming to school, their enthusiasm to learn and they like to use the classroom environment and materials to foster their independence.
As educators we want to keeping the learning innovative and thoughtfully planned out. In a room full of diverse learners, I know that the new easel will not only capture their eye but it serves various purposes which I know will foster their enthusiasm to learn.
