This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a Title 1 school. I will be teaching 25 students in an Integrated CoTeaching Classroom in the Bronx. All of the children receive free breakfast and lunch. The supplies that are requested will help all the children. In the classroom 40 % of the children are Special Education and 60% General Education. The children range from ADHD, Autism, Emotionally Disturbed, Speech and Language Disorders and General Education These children just need someone who cares! Please help if you can!
My Project
These materials that I will hopefully receive will be utilized everyday. The children in my class learn in all different types of modalities. I will use the dry erase pockets to put in worksheets in all types subject areas. The children will practice, write and erase in all subject areas. Children learn best by repetition. In the beginning of the school year- children will start by practicing writing their names, letters in the alphabet and numbers 1-10. Throughout the year the children will continue to use the dry erase pockets to increase their knowledge by writing sight words, stories, pictures, math , science. These are wonderful!
