My Students

My students of the Occupational Course of Study program are awesome! They are all willing to learn new employable skills such as providing customer service, food prep and money handling (counting, making change and making deposits). We are building each day on a foundation which we partner with students' home lives, school lives and their lives after high school.

Experiences such as this have provided alumni employment opportunities with local restaurants, hospitals and grocery stores.

This type of project enables our population to gain hands-on experience.

My Project

Our students are often overlooked by society as unemployable and unskilled. This opportunity will provide them the in-house opportunity to gain interpersonal, hands on, customer service experience.

The coffee industry is rapidly growing and statistics have shown that our overlooked population advances with skilled repetition.

The donors will provide access to equipment used in the barista industry. Local businesses are looking to employ hard working, skilled individuals that are eager to support their business visions. The industry is looking for employees who require minimal additional training.

This funded project will ignite student interest in other career opportunities which can be partnered with the area community colleges.
