This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am asking for furniture to place around the library for students to dive into their books in comfortable reading nooks around the room. With this furniture, students are going to have multiple choices for places to cozy up to a good book with a reading light and read, read, read.
A comfortable space makes for an ideal place for students to read and will promote focus and engagement in their book.
The ultimate goal being to build a culture of literacy in our school and a love of books by giving them opportunities to independently read in a quiet, comfortable space.
