A class of students acting as adults to work towards a better future for our community is what I see on a daily basis. I teach the EAST project at our high school. The grades I teach range from 9th to 12th grade. This is our first year to introduce the EAST Project, and we are determined to prove that it's a very positive thing to have in our school.
My children work very hard to help our peers and come up with ideas that will better our community. Very soon we will be presenting our ideas to our school board to try and make our dreams a reality. Along with these presentations, we had the idea to document them. While video documentation by itself is a great way to save memories, we would like to make these presentations available for our website with very good audio for everyone to clearly understand the ideas we're trying to convey. The problem with our idea is that we lack the technology needed for success.
The resource we have found to fuel our project is a digital voice recorder. If we were to have this it would benefit my students because they would be able to replay this event and look and find the things they could better about the presentations and it could allow them to grow as young adults as they enter a bigger world than high school.
Your help will make a difference for the confidence and professionalism that my students will hold in our coming days. With your donation not only will you help the students directly affected by it but you will help the multitude of children that my students will change with their bright and shining lights.
