This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Students struggle with PTSD, social anxiety and are victims of discrimination based on their identify and sexuality. My students also are from communities that have been marginalized in society. The goal of this project will be to help my students express themselves in a healthy way through journaling with notebooks, pens and other supplies. Students will be able to write their private thoughts and engage in creative and artistic expression. Journaling is a healthy way to cope with stress and promotes healthy social and emotional learning.
My students are resilient and determined to be successful and will greatly benefit from journaling.
