This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Keeping up with a changing world! As technology continues to change, so do the academic opportunities for children to explore through online interactions! Students are required to complete more projects, assignments and assessments online and need the support of technology in the classroom.
My students are bubbly 2nd grade boys and girls in the nation's capital.
They are 50% Hispanic and 50% African American, eager to explore the world. They attend a public school in the heart of the Nation's capital, Washington, D.C. These students are bright, energetic children with curious minds.
My Project
Increasing our technology in the classroom will add a new excitement to our learning. The educational websites and applications available to children have the potential to further engage them in learning and increase their academic success. Providing students the opportunity to use technology such as iPads, exposes them to innovative ways of learning!
This project would allow our students to develop technological skills as well as provide them with additional ways to engage in content.
Children are excited by technology and bringing that excitement into the classroom can further their academic outcomes.
