My Students
My students are inquisitive individuals. They are very eager to learn and are always wanting to learn more through books. I remember loving books when I was a young girl and always wanted to dig deeper into the books. I loved the anticipation and loved reading the whole series of novels. As I have become a teacher I can see how much my students love books and how excited they are to dig deeper into texts.
My students are creative, outgoing, and determine learners.
They love exploring books and digging deeper into the text. Our school does provide us with a leveled library, but does not provide all the books my students would love for literacy circles.
My Project
I would love to have multiple copies of a variety of books for my students to read as a group. I often have them dig deeper into the chapter books to understand and comprehend the story better. Another way to help them become better readers is I have asked for stability balls for certain students. Some of my students lose focus while they are reading or doing class work and get very distracted with other things going on, so I would love some of these bounce balls to help them complete their work and to stay on task.
Reading with expression is such a vital part in becoming a good reader.
The whisper phones can be so powerful to help my students learn to read a little quieter when they are in a group, but to also help them add voice and expression into their reading. They will be able to help them become a part of the story and understand the stories better. They will also help my classroom environment become a quieter place.
