This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love to discuss literature when working in pairs or teams. They love learning new content from informational texts and enjoy stories to retell events. Each day, they engage in silent reading with multiple opportunities to make connections that help them to visualize with effective reading comprehension. These books will bring back Read Alouds with a focus on multicultural topics and traditional children's literature. Students will monitor comprehension when interacting with the teacher and peers throughout stories. They will gather together on the carpet and will enjoy participating in conversations.
