My Students

Pre-K is all about getting ready for school and for life. Academics and life skills are both important for success in school and beyond. The materials my students use in the classroom help them establish solid 21st Century skills in areas like: diversity, social-emotional development, technology, global awareness, and nutrition.

My students are motivated workers and dedicated caregivers to the materials, people and animals that make up our classroom community.

My Project

The power of play is a tool we utilize throughout early childhood and elementary education.

A smiling face and friendly performance from a novelty like a realistic puppet can be an important buffer for students who lack motivation and energy when coming through the school door each morning.

Puppets can stimulate the imagination, help build confidence and give some children a friend they can confide in.

Puppets can also be a fun and interactive authority figure, guiding students to where they need to go and helping enforce important rules and expectations in a school setting.

It is my hope that having a variety of puppets for students to utilize and engage will help them treat each school day as a new, fun adventure, regardless of age or temperament.
