Kindergarten is so much fun! My students learn in many different ways using all of our senses and multiple intelligences. I use a wide range of techniques to help all my students succeed no matter what their level. My students attend a Title One school. Most of my students come from families from a low socioeconomic status, with over 70% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Brooklyn. Our school is a caring community of successful learners, which can be seen through collaborative student project based learning in and out of the classroom. Kindergarteners in my class love to work with hands-on materials and have many different opportunities to practice a skill before it is mastered.
My Project
Possibilities are endless when you have a quality laser printer right in your classroom! All students feel a great sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when they see their work in published format. I want to be able to give them this feeling of satisfaction while they are learning along the way. Additionally, the printer will be used to print instructional materials, progress reports, power points, parent newsletters, etc... Differentiation is the key to success for my students. The printer will allow me to print differentiated materials to meet the needs of all my learners. Having a classroom printer & ink will help my students be tremendously successful! Furthering their literacy, I plan to print independent reading books and use the colored paper to create sets of color coded sight word packs to take home. Being able to study sight words in an organized fashion at home will promote literacy and writing within my classroom.
Having a classroom printer will enable my students to reach their full potential, by allowing them to see their personal work (from ALL subjects) published in the classroom.
Having this printer, ink and paper will create a BIG impact on my student's ability to CREATE and LEARN. I am excited about ALL of the possibilities!!!
