My Students
My students love to read. They find great joy in identifying words and phrases throughout our stories. It would be wonderful if I could provide my students with Tag Books, such as Click Clack, Moo, and Toy Story 3 to further assist them with reading independently.
My students attend a self contained Special Education program, within a Title 1 funded school district.
My students range from ages 2-4, with disabilities such as speech and language impaired, autism, learning disabled, and hearing impairment. My students love manipulating objects, parallel play, and recognizing environmental signs.
My Project
My students have shown great interest in the Tag Junior stories and I would like to be able to provide them with a greater selection to choose from. By adding more Tag Junior stories to our classroom library, my students will have the opportunity to select a story, choose a comfortable location in the classroom, and enjoy their story, stress free.
All of our Leap Frog devices require numerous batteries. As previously stated, my students love to use all the new devices and having our supply restocked would prevent my students from being without these devices due to a lack of batteries.
Young minds retain more information when they are engaged and having fun.
Why not provide them with the learning tools to help facilitate this learning. Supporting this project would provide my classroom with resources that allow my students to be more independent and self driven. My students will seek enjoyment while learning, which in turn creates a happier and healthier learning environment.
