Help me give my students materials and resources that will create a language rich environment to build their vocabulary and generate interest and excitement about centers.
I teach in a critical needs area, public Pre-Kindergarten classroom in Holmes County, MS. There are twenty students enrolled. My school is Title I funded and center of our district. Each student in my classroom loves learning and I work endlessly to provide them with a great foundation that is developmentally appropriate, filled with hands-on experiences, and various pedagogies to meet their individual needs.
During the reading block, I provide my little scholars with as many real-life examples as possible and artifacts that will allow them to connect to the world around them.
With your help, I want to provide more centers with the focus Tier II words that will build connections between words and ideas. Also allowing them to use the new vocabulary in daily conversation (s). It warms my heart to hear my students use the Tier II words learned. Creating various art and vocabulary masterpieces will open a world of conversations with adults and loves at home.
