My Project
The use of choice reading does so many things for students. First, it allows them time to decompress and fall back in love with the concept of reading a book purely for pleasure. I want to curate a classroom library where every one of my students feels represented by and interested in the novels. I want to provide novels that are relevant, interesting, contemporary, and appeal to my students.
By donating to this project you will provide my students with the continued opportunity to find books that mirror their individual interests, social and economic backgrounds, and current struggles.
When students see themselves in literature it brings such value to the classroom, and they feel valued as well.
