My first grade class is comprised of 21 eager learners. They are kind, caring, and love helping others. They are each unique and very special and I go out of my way each day to remind them of that.
My first graders come from a rough area and go through more than what most kids do, but they do not let that stop them from working hard toward their goals.
They love to learn and have learned to persevere through tough times.
My Project
Covid-19 has changed many aspects of school, including how we get our wiggles out and have fun outside during recess. The playground equipment is off limits for now, so we have to get creative with how we spend our time outside.
Having equipment that can be used individually as we social distance during recess will make this time much more enjoyable.
Our brains need a break from learning and screen time daily and having jump ropes, hula hoops and other recess equipment will give us that while also helping us practice gross motor skills.
