This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the 2024-2025 school year comes to an end, my students have been asking to read one final book. The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a generational indie classic. Help my students learn about friendship, self expression, and belonging as we read and discuss Stephen Chbosky's famous text.
The protagonist, Charlie is a relatable character to the 9th graders as they continue to navigate their high school journey.
Charlie's diary provides an insightful look into the complex choices facing students. Please help provide my students with a reading experience they that look forward to and value.
