This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Let’s face it, hygiene products (especially feminine ones) are expensive. Many of us have been, are currently going through, or know someone with menstruation issues and costs.
As a teenager (especially in an inner city school), it can be embarrassing to ask to go to the nurse for more feminine care because you can’t afford it on your own; or because you had an accident and you’re scared that everyone will know.
We have been there.. it can ruin your whole day, make your mind wander and give you anxiety. Feminine care with the other requested resources, such as heating pads, blanket can be the bridge to a more motivated mental health where females can freely learn without the stigma of the “period.”
