My Project

Our preschool classroom has three tables that we use every single day for centers, whole group activities, and snack time. Two of the tables are larger round tables, and one is a smaller round table. Most teacher led activities are done at the smallest table, however it would make a huge difference in the classroom to have a kidney shaped table for small group instruction.

With a kidney shaped table, teachers are able to sit in the middle and have students surrounding.

This would be such an assist for working on alphabet or number activities. Students would be closer to the teacher should they need assistance with counting or handwriting. With a round table, the teacher may need to pause instruction and walk around to assist. This also applies to art projects and the teachers ability to pass out materials to multiple students at once. This particular table is a heavy duty table that will hold up in an early childhood setting for years and years to come.
