Help me give my students materials for their lab notebooks! Is the pen mightier than the keyboard? Yes! According to several studies, students perform better in science when notes were taken by hand!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My class is a very hands on lab based class. We do labs almost everyday. It is what makes science fun. Over the years I have experimented with both lab notebooks (comp-books) and computer based labs. I have had a lot of success with the good old fashion notebooks. The labs we do are in my students lab notebooks. Every year my students complete their pre-labs, labs, and analysis in their lab notebooks. It creates a picture of what they have learned in chemistry. (I have even had student tell me that they used it in college classes). These labs require paper, which we do not get at our school. If I use my budget for paper, it comes out of my materials budget. This project is all about putting pen(cil) to paper for my chemistry students.
