My Project
The more the students read, the greater their chances of performing well academically. Their vocabulary will be expanded, improvement in their writing skills. Reading will sharpen their critical skills. Reading, more specifically, books on the students interest will build their comprehension and tap into their prior knowledge. Reading these books that focus on today's issues can be easy for the students to relate to and increase their enthusiasm to continue to read. Reading could help my students to empathize with others, increase their knowledge of self, other worlds, culture, heritage and ways of being and thinking. Lastly, reading these non academic books will enhance their language skills.
