I teach junior high and high school special education students in a small town in rural Missouri. I am a new teacher and I am constantly trying to think of new, innovative ways to teach and reach my special needs students. Our school has recently been restructured so our budget is very tight.
There is a wide spectrum of needs for my students and support for them would be greatly appreciated!
My students needs are as broad as food and clothing to a new reading series.
My Project
Our class is doing a book study on "The Outsiders" and we don't have enough books for everyone to have a copy. I read aloud to my students most of the time but this time they are going to have character parts in the story.
The sensory items are for my autistic and adhd students that need a little something to help keep them focused.
These types of items help to relieve stress that my students are experiencing. Most of my students have experienced trauma in one way or another. Please help me to help my kids! We would really appreciate your help!
