This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My 7th grade virtual learning class will end the year by reading and discussing The Outsiders novel. In a virtual school, students do not receive hard copies of books, and my students have asked for hard copies of The Outsiders so that they can physically handle the book, highlight, annotate, and keep it to read again in the future.

I hope to engage some of my students who not not like reading and who do not have, or do not have, access to novels at home.

This is a book I have read with previous classes in brick and mortar schools, and students LOVE this book. I am looking so forward to giving my class the opportunity to enjoy reading this book together to wrap up their 7th grade school year!
