My Project
I have the most incredible group of 7th grade students at my school. They make my job so much fun and make me absolutely love teaching. In order to keep my students engaged and learning, I like to offer flexible seating options during the independent and partner work time. They don't like sitting in one place for an hour so I think it's important for them to be given the opportunity to move to a new space and continue their learning. I also would like to use composition notebooks for taking organized, detailed math notes. Speaking of organization...I find that my room can tend to get messy with all the materials I would like them to have access to. I, therefore, added some seat pocket organizers that could hold their dry erase boards, markers, glue sticks, erasers, etc. I think an organized classroom is directly related to engagement and overall student enjoyment of learning.
