Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have loved being the recipients of wonderful costumes and props from our DonorsChoose projects. Every time we open a box, their eyes light up. Whenever students wear costume items from DonorsChoose, they are more confident and proud of their dancing. It has been a pleasure watching my classroom and my students transformed by the power of amazing donations!

We are in desperate need of storage for our resources, costumes and props.

This project not only helps us get organized, but it will teach my students valuable executive functioning skills, because the students are going to help me create a system for organizing our materials! In the future, it will be easy to find the scarves because they will be organized in a clear container. We will be able to put all of our sparkly tap dancing belts into a container and organize them by color. Everything will be sorted into clear and stackable containers for easier student access and use!
