My Students

As I am sitting in my classroom, I am observing my students as they are intently working at the task at hand. I see a classroom full of thinkers and dreamers; adventurers and seekers, ready to take on the Science lab that they have waited to explore.

Excitement abounds at the prospect of new Science equipment, and dare I say...projects!

I want this classroom to be a space for students to be confident, independent thinkers. In order for this type of learning to occur, we need current, up-to-date content and materials.

My Project

I am requesting up-to-date, content specific materials regarding the Solar System. The current textbooks that we are working out of are circa 2007, and as such, much of the content is out of date.

I would like to increase the limited resources that we have now, to one as expansive as space itself!

My students are so excited to be studying the Solar System and I would like to see that enthusiasm continue! I believe the addition of the new materials will benefit the students in a variety of ways: increase student engagement, reinforce concepts, and allow for accuracy in instruction.

The Solar System game center, the planetary science Kit, the planetary magnets, and the Solar System DVD will be wonderful supplements to support the current outdated curriculum.
