Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A computer will serve as the center of our classroom's daily activities. Students will be exposed to technology that will impact their learning in a positive way. This will also last several years where many students can benefit from it. The computer in the classroom will assist in differentiating instruction for all of my students to ensure that all of their learning levels are being met. Students will be cognitively engaged in activities that are tailored to their learning styles and academic needs. My students will be using the computer for online programs such as math, reading, and science. Students will be able to work alone, in pairs, or in small groups on a variety of activities in all subject areas.
They will be able to work together to create essays, books, reports and more with the ability to add pictures, student-created graphs and diagrams, and then present them to the class with 3D graphics!
In a world where everything is becoming more and more technology-based, students need to become proficient and gain hands-on experience with these tools. Your generosity will allow my students to learn at their own pace and expose them to resources that will expand their reading, writing, and verbal skills. The use of this computer will also develop their fluency and creativity and much more. My students will be exposed to and will enjoy being able to learn in a way they have not had the opportunity to previously. We are also asking for headphones for students to use while on the computer and accessories for the desktop.
