This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many parents are still attempting to recover financially and many supplies that would help a student feel successful are not priority supplies. My students are coming to me with gaps in their learning as well as socialization skills. During the pandemic, students missed out on the opportunity to socialize and regulate their emotions. My students are struggling to self-regulate and many suffer from poor self-images, which in turn, cause disruptions in the classroom and time off task.
The requested materials will help my students regulate their emotions through meditative coloring and provide materials like extra pencils, scissors, markers, or colored pencils to promote a sense of pride in the classroom.
The wobble stools will help students focus, limit distractions for other students in the classroom, and promote successful learning.
