Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year we are finding it extremely challenging to engage our students with books they like. I am trying to help students explore new genres and realize how exciting reading can be. I want to help my students broaden their knowledge using monthly magazines on current events and non-fiction stories about kids their age. I also would love to help my students who are on different levels read stories as well on their own and improve their confidence in reading. Many students are really struggling with reading because of the pandemic and it is my job to provide exciting texts for them to read and realize we can all improve and be lifelong learners.
