My Project

My main goal for this project is to help make reading engaging and fun. Students get bored sitting in the same desk day after day. Add in a book they might not enjoy and you have a recipe for a lost opportunity. While I cannot always choose the books we read for class, I can certainly control the classroom environment they are in. I aim to make my ELA classroom warm, inviting, fun, and flexible. I will have students of many backgrounds with a variety of learning styles and needs. If I can allow students a choice of seating by creating a cute, yet functional reading nook with flexible seating for all learners, I can conquer half the battle of fostering a respect for learning.
