My Project
I am always excited to meet our new Kindergarten students. A few days prior to the first day, our school has a meet-the-teacher/orientation for incoming Kindergarten families. Since returning to teaching kindergarten a couple of years ago, I have been working towards making this event more memorable and special for our students.
With your help, I would like to provide each of our incoming Kindergarten students with a copy of the book "The Night Before Kindergarten" by Natasha Wing.
It is a lovely book that explores the excitement and nervousness that can accompany the first day of kindergarten. Reading this book may help start a conversation about how the student is feeling and ease their concerns or fears.
I will read the book to them at the orientation and gift them a copy, to keep, enjoy, and read the night before the first day of school.
