The Next Step in Art

Help me give my students a chance to continue their learning digitally by allowing more students a chance to use iPads as a way of creating art. Allowing them to explore the ever-changing world of art.

My Students

I work in a public charter school that serves between 400-500 students from varying levels of socioeconomic status, races, and ethnicities. In our charter, we take great pride in using our limited resources in as many expansive ways as we can - we are only limited by our creativity!

Our students have developed a passion for creating their truths through varying mediums, and we have the privilege of expanding their horizons in a world of constantly developing art.

This year we are delighted to be teaching foundational art, 2D/3D, AP Studio, and Digital Media.

My Project

These few items are big to the essential for our art class. Art is always changing and continuing to move in ways towards digital art. We are limited to the number of resources we do have; however, adding two more iPads can lead us to reach more students and give them more opportunities to explore digital art. As the art form continues to change and new ways are developing we would like to be a part of that.

Art is needed for our students' ability to be creative and think outside the box when it comes to challenges in everyday lives.

We also need clay tools. However, if we are limited to materials that do not adjust to that, we are limited in our ability to think and we do not want to do that for our students.
