My Students
I teach students in grades K-2 in the 8:1:1 classroom setting. The students I teach have a wide variety of abilities and skills. Many students in the class benefit from visual supports and sensory activities. They are bright, energetic, and motivated to succeed. My students and I are excited to navigate in-person and remote instruction this school year.
My Project
Students require a classroom routine and visual supports to learn and stay safe. A laminator, laminating pouches, and cardstock will be used to create materials for students. In special education, students benefit from color-coded labels to recognize their materials, assigned seats, etc.
The classroom color-code system will help students learn by creating a routine within the classroom.
Labels will also help students maintain six feet apart from each other and stay safe. Students will not cross-contaminate using their own color-coded supplies and folders. Command hooks will make supplies more accessible.
