Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a teacher with 20 years in elementary and middle school. I recently moved to another state in which I am now in pre-k. This gives me a different prospective on what students need to lifelong learners with 21st century skills to be successful in life.
I am asking for the classroom items that can enhance students learning and make education come alive for my scholars.
Using real world materials and high tech materials will give my pre k students a love of learning while introducing STEAM to their educational memories. I have multiple technology opportunities for my students, but I really need more to make a well-rounded learner. The things in my classroom are old and I work in a Title I schools with little funding. My students do not have the same opportunities that other students in more well affluent communities have.
I want my students to have the same means of getting STEAM activities as I can. Since I have a strong STEAM background, I am able to make Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math come alive.
