Their opinions & ideas are valid and ever shall be. While the microphones in their classrooms were an exciting addition to \"Morning Circle\" and other large group sharing activities, our students found their empowerment was in who they are and how they shared it in their small microcosm. The microphones were literal and figurative reminders that they can make a difference with their voices and ideas. They love the microphones!\r\n Four capes were also shared with our students. They say, \"Bravery, Kindness, Caring, and Sharing.\" These capes are put on the shoulders of children that are \"caught\" demonstrating the traits of courage and love. It reminds them that they are \"super traits\" and can be shown to their classmates at all times. When a student is struggling to show kindness or courage, sometimes wearing the \"super cape\" can also help them \"power up\" with that trait and demonstrate it later. The capes are very visible and powerful tools to reinforce behaviors that they'll consistently use.","fullyFundedDate":1758839444447,"projectUrl":"project/i-have-a-voice-empower-me/9674363/","projectTitle":"I Have a Voice! The students were so excited about the new resources that we received in our classroom to engage with the \"Butterfly Life Cycle\". The students enjoyed each part of the project, but I think their favorite part was watching the butterflies come out of their cocoons. The students were in shock as they watched the cocoon shake as the butterfly burst out from the cocoon. \r\n\r\nIn engaging the students with this project, they experienced hands on activities in using the magnifying glasses to get a \"close-up look\" at the cocoons, then the butterflies. The magnifying glasses allowed for the students to see with their own eyes the details and stages involved in a \"Butterfly's Life Cycle\". Also, the books and puzzles that the were given with this project were vivid and in detail which engaged the students and kept their attention and focus on the learning objective.\r\n\r\nWe used all these resources from this project to focus on daily learning activities about living things and how they become into existence on this Earth. The students were so excited to let them go free. I believe my students will remember the fascinating experiences that they experienced in learning about he life cycle of a butterfly. When I went to the school to start setting up my room at the beginning of the year, I was disappointed to see that the room was pretty bare in regards to educational toys, games, and supplies. Many of the toys and games that you funded provided me the ability to provide more quality free play and exploration during center free time. Before we got the donated supplies, the children had to play with and explore the same things for months. Because of you, the children's love of learning and curiosity has been greatly increased and they are much more engaged during center free time. The educational supplies that you donated have also helped during large and small group instruction, which has impacted my students knowledge and growth. We now have more and better ELA and Math tools to support learning and hands-on activities. \r\nThank you, thank you , thank you! I will be able to utilize almost everything you provided from my classroom not only this year, but years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1738172897121,"projectUrl":"project/boom-help-us-zoom-into-learning-by-stoc/8892691/","projectTitle":"Boom! You lovingly provided our girls with 16 multi-colored leggings to wear and our boys with 17 pairs of warm sweatpants, along with 2 pairs of shorts for when the warmer weather arrives. The pants/leggings are also in a couple of different sizes that we often don't have because those sizes aren't donated second hand. \r\n\r\n Your generous contribution has a HUGE impact on our children feeling warm, secure, and able to turn their attention to the business of learning. When they are wet, dirty, or distracted, they are so consumed with their discomfort that it overwhelms them and influences their self-regulation and attention spans. \r\n\r\n Thank you so much again, for your gracious contribution.
