My students need music and physical education equipment to keep an active mind in becoming successful learners.

My Students

Trying to keep students active in learning can be a challenge. Therefore, I believe students need some type of physical activity during the week to keep their brains going. Since our school doesn't have a PE program, I'm asking for people to donate to my project.

I have 18 energetic, 7 and 8 year old second grader students who are eager to learn this year.

Even though we have only been together for about a month, I'm quickly learning they definitely do better with movement than sitting still. Here in Nevada, our district has cut our physical education program. It is up to the teachers to teach it once a week.

My Project

By providing my class with a variety of P.E. resources including jump ropes, music Cd's, and activity mats, students will learn that exercising is an important part of being a healthy person. I plan to teach my students jump rope songs and chants that they will be able to use at school and at home. I plan to use the music Cd's to exercise inside when the weather permits us from going outside. By showing my students some of these basic skills, I hope they will continue to make exercising a part of their everyday life.

Each year it is becoming more difficult to keep the students attention.

Students are growing up in a face-pace world. Everything seems to be so instantaneous. Donating to my project will allow me to show these students there is an alternative to technology. The impact this project will have on my students will last a lifetime with the skills I'm able to teach them. Please consider donating to my project. Thanks in advance!
