This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are such a joy to teach. They come into class every morning so excited to get started. They feel like big kids getting to come to school and grow their brains. With attitudes like theirs, it makes teaching them the most rewarding job in the world!

Although our money for school supplies is limited, our potential is not.

We are determined to provide for our kids the best possible education we can, and sometimes that means calling on others to help out. We would all be eternally grateful for any donations.

My Project

I am so excited about this carpet I can barely stand it! I teach students from all different backgrounds and I am constantly trying to make my classroom more multicultural. Having this carpet be the focus point of our classroom will make such a huge impact on my students!

It is imperative students see themselves in their classrooms!

This rug will not only serve as our main learning space for whole group instruction, but it will also help with geography skills! The children on this rug are from all over the world--Just like my sweet kiddos! The world map in the center is also perfect for us because we read the series The Magic Tree house and the main characters are world travelers! I have never wanted something more for my students than this beautifully inclusive classroom carpet!
