The More We Move, the More We Learn

Help me give my students two wobble stools, and five portable lap desks that help them sit with better posture when wanting more flexible seating options in the classroom.

My Students

My students are independent, self-thinking, compassionate learners. My students are energetic children who need the ability to move and change their setting while learning. They come from diverse backgrounds with many different needs. My students are the future citizens of their community who have a passion for learning.

My students are caring community members who strive to make the world they live in a better place!

My students push me to be a better teacher each and every day with their passion for learning.

My Project

Requiring students to sit at a desk for six hours a day isn't realistic anymore and research supports the need for students to be able to move about and learn in more flexible ways.

My students often want to work on the floor, or in the hallway where they can have more space to work and be more focused; they frequently want to be able to move around in their seats or tilt back in their chairs during instruction and work time.

This not only leads them to getting reminded not to lean back in their chairs, but it also often leads them to leaning and craning over their work and computers which could end up straining their necks and backs.

The student lap desks will help the students to sit with proper posture while taking their learning to the floor or hallway. The wobble stools will add two more seating options that allow students to lean and move around while listening to instruction and working on their classwork in a safe way.
