I have diverse classes with kids from all cultures and backgrounds. The Maneuvering the Middle online support material can really help my students who need more practice. It allows me to easily have access to materials that can give them more practice and more diverse word problems when they need extra math help. They may have ADHD or anxiety and extra practice helps with both of these. These extra practice materials can help with their different needs since we all need to be able to learn math that is at or above the standards. Neurodiversity is something that adds to a classroom and all students need to understand that equity for all is important. Kids need different items to be successful and that is okay.
I want my kids to feel comfortable being in math and sometimes they ask for more practice to do so.
