Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Stem education puts an emphasis on preparing future generations to be successful in their careers. The skills gained from STEM education will help prepare my students, with varied interests that would grant them the opportunity to move into any industry and obtain valuable skill sets that will make them successful. Our school library does not have many resources to allow students to explore STEM. Creating a maker space area would make such a difference in learning for our K-5 population. My students love creating things , however it is a hardship coming up with so many costly materials. For now we try to recycle and come up with ways to reuse un wanted things.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

The Maxgineers students, would be afforded the opportunity to think critically and challenge standards. STEM is a gateway to innovative thinkers that have the potential to change this 21st century world we are living in. My students would truly benefit from a maker space area, it would bring such a fun way to build on creativity, critical thinking and knowledge while building relationships with their peers. the students would be ecstatic to have a section in the library as such.
