Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are the best 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in Georgia. These kids come from a not so great home-life but that does not stop them from trying. Many of them just want to feel special or are seeking attention because they may get over-looked other places. We strive to make our library a place where the kids feel important, and interested. We want them to want to come to the library. We already have some students that are in 5th grade now who are begging to come check our what's new in the Media Center! But, I want to reach all the students!! We want to have a maker-space that will evolve!

My Project

In our Marvelous Media IDEA (Invention, Design, Engineering, and Art) Lab we will be creating, directing, acting, composing, organizing, building and learning. I want students to come to the Media Center with an idea and us make it reality.

Whether it be a movie they want to star in, a script they want to write, or just a card for someone, we will make it happen in our makerspace!

Our school's theme is MVP (Motivated, Visionary, Problem-Solver), and I want us to fulfill the visionary and problem-solver aspects right here by working with our minds and hand!

I am asking for Chromebooks for them to use for researching purposes.
