My students need more opportunities for hands-on math experiences. These manipulatives, such as the Giant Magnetic Geometric Shapes, will help support their learning!

The students in my classroom have a drive and desire for learning. Most of the children in my community come from diverse economic and social backgrounds in an area that faces many challenges including generational poverty. They come to school eager to learn and cultivate a legacy of learning. The students are energetic, loving, and many days exhausted. With all this in mind, these boys and girls come to school to put their best foot forward every day.
My goal as an educator is to help these children see that their future can expand beyond the limitations of their front door.
They are able to look forward and work toward the educational goals they create for themselves. These students are so young, and they have such a big world out there to discover and explore. Seeing them grow and create their own image makes being an educator worthwhile.
The students in my classroom need more opportunities for hands-on math learning. These materials will help support their education in shapes, arrays, and basic operations. These supplies will help support our math curriculum and give children more chances to collaborate in groups and use effective communication skills with one another.
Our students are too often in situations where worksheets are the only method of practice available which is just not enough.
By providing these magnetic geometric shapes, multiplication arrays, and ten-frames manipulative we offer students a chance to become more engaged in their own education, which will help them to become lifelong learners who love math!
