The Making of Our School's Prek-8 Sensory Room: Part 3

My Project

Our students could really benefit from items in a sensory room. Most students need sensory breaks throughout the day and the items in my project will help regulate these sensory needs. Our goal is to build and offer a space where our students can regulate their bodies, granting them the focus to attend to academic curriculum. Our students are amazing and all will be granted access to this sensory room. I have broken this project into smaller projects, so we can go us on building up the room and slowly implementing more as we learn each student's sensory needs. This third project consists of resources, such as fidgets, body socks, sensory stickers, activity wall, and more, that will help students obtain the sense of calm they desire. It will be available for use by any student at our PreK-8 school!
