Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I would love to give my students the opportunity to see "The Elves & the Shoemaker"; "Most Valuable Player - the story of Jackie Robinson"; and "Rumpelstiltskin" next school year. My students are Spanish speaking English learners who will benefit from seeing a familiar story acted out. The audio-visual experience will increase their vocabulary, deepen their comprehension, and engage them in the magic of theater as they are learning English. The three plays I will take them to are being presented by California Theater Center and will take place at Chabot College which is within walking distance of our school, Longwood Elementary in Hayward, California. Help us make this amazing opportunity a reality!
