This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second graders are now well into the second half of the school year. They have been working so hard on learning many math skills necessary for success in third grade! I want to prepare for our upcoming Money Unit with this project.
I want them to see the “magic” of math, through money, by having highly engaging and beneficial activities available for them.
I want them to understand the mathematics but also see the importance of topics such as income, spending and saving. This will all be done through games and crafts while using products purchased through Teachers Pay Teachers.
