My Students

Can I begin by saying that these kids are AMAZING! Our school is filled with kiddos from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Each child LOVES learning, and I love teaching these passionate kiddos. The parent involvement is phenomenal, the staff is the best of the best and the community is beyond supportive.

Although our school (and district) is fantastic, we do not always have the money we need to support these wonderful kids.

DonorsChoose has been amazing in making sure we can reach all children exactly where they are at!

My Project

Next year I want to bring coding skills alive for my students by providing a hands on experience. These materials will help my student to think critically, build computational skills, and work collaboratively towards goals. I hope by bringing robots and "magic wands" into the classroom, I can spark an interest in coding for EVERY child.

The Dash robots have many coding options--either by iPads or by using the Puzzlets I am also requesting in this project.

Little hands will be able to physically manipulate pieces to program our Dash robots using the Puzzlets. My older students will be able to code using the iPads and magic wand kits.
