Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love my students! My students are the reason why I love teaching. They walk into our classroom every single day with smiles on their faces. They are always eager to start the day. I always ask them, "Who is the best class?" and they reply, "We are!"
I have always let them know that I believe they are capable of doing anything they want.
Despite so many hardships, my students come to class every day and are eager to learn and do their best.
My Project
This project is very special for me. This coming year, I will be teaching students with dyslexia and gifted and talented. My goal is to engage them the most as possible. I would like to integrate reading with social studies as much as possible.
The project includes books about bullying.
I want my students to feel loved and safe in my classroom. I will touch bullying topics with them at the start of the school year.
The project also includes several books and workbooks targeted to dyslexia. I want students to be familiar with dyslexia and that they are still able to achieve everything they want. The workbooks are to teach them the latin roots so that their vocabulary expands tremendously.
The project also includes many books targeted to social studies. I want to integrate social studies with reading by reading them books about government, the civil rights movements, heroes, and so on.
I am ready to read, read, and read to my students with the help of the amazing donorschoose community.
After HARVEY, our community has been slowly getting back to the routine. I want to provide as much to my students without them having to worry about not having books.
