This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting books for my second grade class. The titles chosen are high-interest books that will engage my students. The group of students I am targeting with these books are students who need extra help with reading. The high-interest books will help keep them interested in reading.

In addition, these books will be used at the beginning of next year for our 40-book challenge.

Students are required to read 40 books and 10 must be from picture books. These books are the perfect level for starting off the year in third grade for my at-level readers. They are also perfect from the end of the year for my emerging readers.

Also, I am requesting electronic devices to create a a technology lab were students will use different online programs to assist them with reading. Since we have multiple devices and not enough outlets or chargers, I am requesting portable charges for different devices so students can charge their devices and continue logged in to complete the program.
