My Project

The Living Kwanzaa Museum is a Service-Learning project where the students teach their community about the African-American Experience.

Kwanzaa is an African American cultural holiday starting on December 26th and lasting until January 1st.

This holiday celebrates family, community, and service. Gifts are given and are all handmade. In the spirit of this holiday, students will use the listed materials to construct their exhibits' from scratch resulting in a 4' x 6' tri-folding museum exhibit. Each exhibit will represent a phenomenon from the African American Experience and will also be aligned to one of the 7 principles of Kwanzaa

This is always a fun, teamwork-oriented project to finish the semester.
